EGYPT'S CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS
ABU EL-REESH
The three pediatrics hospitals that comprise the Cairo University affiliated Abu El-Reesh Children's Hospitals are the most prominent facilities of their kind in the Middle East, treating around 1 million children annually in their out-patient clinic alone. With the original hospital established in 1928, the goal of our event was to raise funds to help purchase life-saving medical equipment desperately needed by these hospitals.

Keynote Speaker
Our Keynote Speaker and Telemed Foundation Man of the Year, world-renowned archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass, gave a once-in-a-lifetime lecture about new archaeological discoveries in Egypt. Former Egyptian Minister of Antiquities and Director of Excavations at Giza, Saqqara, Bahariya Oasis, and the Valley of Kings, Dr. Zahi Hawass covered a broad range of fascinating topics, including the discovery of the Mummy Queen of Hatshepsut, new revelations on the great pyramid and the Sphinx, and the search for the tomb of Cleopatra.
